- The Stebbins Family
- Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am married to a wonderful man named Philip. We got married on March 26,2011 and we are about to celebrate our first year of marriage. This year has been amazing and I can't wait to see what is in store for us in the future. Our babies for the time being are our 2 yellow labs. Cash is 9 years old and Kira is 7.5 months old. She is growing like a weed and keeping her older brother young at heart. They are both spoiled rotten and we love them to pieces. We know one day we will have real babies, everything is in god's hands and we trust in him. Thanks for stopping by!

Paint, Kitchen Cabinets and Counter Tops! All the fun stuff!
We are in the final stretch of the house! This past week the house was painted (the first coat) and the kitchen cabinets were installed and we have counter tops. This is all the fun stuff I have been waiting for during this whole process! There is still a lot to do but we are getting there. Right now we have a closing date of May 18th, let's pray everything stays on schedule, we have our first guest coming the weekend of June 1st... Who says you can't unpack in 12 days and be ready for company??? YIKES!!!

Anniversary Weekend!
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our first anniversary. I can not believe it has been a year since we got married, time is flying by way too fast!!! I feel like just yesterday we were walking down the aisle saying "I do". I truly am blessed to have married such an amazing man that loves me no matter what. This weekend we went up to the North GA mountains and stayed at Mom and Dad's cabin. Saturday we went into Dahlonega to the Montaluce Winery and the downtown area. It was gorgeous scenery and with wine in our hands it was a great day. Today we did a canopy zip lining tour in Ducktown, TN. I was a little scared and alomost chickened out. Of course this was all my idea too. Anyway, I overcame my fear and had a blast. It was so much fun flying through the trees on a beautiful spring day.
Here are some pictures of our weekend!
Happy Anniversary Philip, I love you!

More House Progress
Progress is being made on the house... The driveway/sidewalk is poured, all the drywall is up, the shutters and window trim should be complete this week. We have sod on one side. They will start painting inside and out (Our house will not be yellow). After that then kitchen and bathroom cabinets, then flooring. Still no set closing date but it is getting close. It is really looking like a home and we are getting more and more excited every day. I already have our first visitors scheduled for the first weekend in June so I will be very busy in May getting everything together! We bought a couch and 2 chairs for the living room. We got a great deal so thankfully our friend Lindsey has an empty basement now and we can store them until our move.
Finally someone else was with us when we went to look at the house so we could get our picture taken. Here is an updated picture of the house with us standing on our front porch.

First of all one thing that bothers is when the date on my camera is off and I don't realize it until later when I am looking at the pictures. It is not 2007, UGH!!!!!
Anyways, this week our sweet Kira got spayed. Poor thing looks so sad and out of it last night. Philip and I thought she fell asleep standing up last night with drool hanging out of her mouth. She breaks my heart right now. Anyone who has met Kira knows she doesn't sit still long we have maybe 3 pictures of her 8 month life. Well this is all she has done so far since her sugery. Cash even gave up his bed for her. :)

On a fun note, all the siding is up on the house, windows are in and insulation goes in this week. It is obviously not painted and the shutters are not up but it looks like a house! We are getting very excited and counting the days! I may start packing this weekend. UGH, I hate packing!!!

So I am new to this whole blogging thing! I have a lot of friends that do it so I think I will be able to handle it too. We are in the process of building a new house. It should be ready the end of March, early April and we couldn't be more excited!!!! We currently live in a 2 bedroom town home with 2 dogs. We are maxed out on space. Here is a picture of the house in progress, I think this week the siding will go up. So far this winter we have had mild weather and the builders have been on schedule. Keep praying that it stays that way!!!
